WHERE TO FIND EACH EXPORT
- OneTab
- Open OneTab and choose Export / Import URLs, then copy the text from the export box. Each line is an address, a pipe and the page title, and a blank line separates groups.
- Toby
- Open a collection's menu (the three dots next to its title), choose Export and pick JSON. To export everything at once, use Export Data in Account Settings. Each Toby collection becomes one group.
- Session Buddy
- Session Buddy saves collections as a JSON file when you export them. Drop that file here. Each collection becomes one group.
- Tab Session Manager
- Tab Session Manager exports saved sessions as a JSON file. Each session becomes one group, with all its windows merged.
- Browser bookmarks
- In Chrome, open the bookmark manager, then its three-dot menu, then Export bookmarks. In Firefox, open the Library window, then Import and Backup, then Export Bookmarks to HTML. Every folder becomes a group. Going the other way, the bookmarks file this page writes imports into any browser, one folder per group.
- TheTab
- The Export button in TheTab saves every group as a JSON backup. The TheTab JSON this page writes is the same format, so it goes back in through Import tabs.
- Plain URL list
- One address per line. Everything lands in a single group, and lines that are not web addresses are listed as skipped.
- Markdown and CSV
- Output only. Markdown gives a heading per group and a link per tab, ready for a notes app. CSV has three columns - group, title and url - for a spreadsheet.
TheTab imports OneTab text, Session Buddy, Tab Session Manager, bookmarks HTML, plain URL lists and its own backups directly, so if you are moving to it you can skip this step. Toby exports need converting to TheTab JSON first. See TheTab
